I have not had many smooth collies in the 34 years I have been breeding collies, but my daughter Caitlin wanted a smooth collie pup to show from my collie family. I decided to breed Bee – my pretty champion daughter of GCH Tairis Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This (Willa) and GCH Cherann’s Cherokee On Sacred Ground ( Landon) to Kaboom- a handsome champion sable smooth boy I had co-bred with Cheryl Kobularcik.

The breeding took, and Miss Bee- aka known as Ch Tairis & Cherann’s Prairie Song- is expecting about 5 puppies near the end of May 2025. The litter should be about half smooth coats and half rough coats- mostly sables and possibly a couple of tricolors. The sire -Kaboom – is white factored so some of the puppies should be white factored. There will not be any white puppies as Bee is not white factored.

Both Bee and Kaboom are pretty, sweet, and VERY GOOD movers so I expect the puppies will be also. They both have some stellar collies in their pedigree, so I am hoping for really nice puppies. I’m very excited to see Bee’s puppies! Here we go again!

I got Aspen back from the people that originally purchased her because of their serious medical problems. They took good care of her, but they were not able to give her the time and attention she needed. Aspen is a pretty girl and a sweetheart, but has become skittish. She is doing better, but needs a family with another nice dog or two for Aspen to play with and lots of love and attention from her human family.
