Well, I am sticking to my guns about not raising any more puppies. My energy has declined to the point I don’t feel like I can do my best with them anymore. I wanted to breed my girl Ferrari, but did not feel up to it. Ferrari is a 3 year old sable champion I purchased as a pup from Margie Blount of Commander Collies. Ferrari is a daughter of Lucas- aka Ch Milas Tairis Commander’s Stardancer, out of Duchess- (Ch Commanders Diva In Silk Stockings of Jjaeds.) Duchess is a mix of Clarion and Afterhours bloodlines. Lucas is a Walker son with a solid Milas pedigree.
After my daughter volunteered to raise Ferrari’s puppies for me, I decided to breed her to Harry- Ch Milas Tairis Commander’s Sundance Kid. Harry is a beautiful boy- not yet 3 years old. Harry already has a champion son and two pointed daughters. We think Harry is a great match for Ferrari. I bred her to Harry on October 3, 2025. She could have puppies around December 3, 2025 if she takes. I will get an ultrasound done on her in early November to see if puppies are expected.
I am hoping we will have some beautiful puppies born in December. Both Harry and Ferrari have lovely collie type, and great movement. Ferrari is a sweetheart, and Harry is a super happy clown. We could get every possible, standard collie color from this breeding- sables, sable merles, tricolors, blue merles, or white pups with any of those color heads. We will have to wait and see what happens.
